This week’s post includes several more of my garden photographs. All were taken in Italy. I have enjoyed reliving the trips and remembering the respite our visit to these beautiful gardens provided.
This beautiful staircase is in the gardens of Villa Capressi on the shores of Lago Como.
Spello is a small town that is meticulously maintained as THE showplace Italian hill town. Cars are essentially prohibited and every walkway, entrance and alley is festooned with individually cared for plants. The entranceway above and the windowsill below are but two examples.
This pond is in Parco Giardino Sigurta. This vast park (over 150 acres) was a pure delight. We rented white bicycles and spent the entire day cruising well maintained paths and exploring. Three small photos from here were included in my posting of June 23, 2015.
Finally, an undistinguished corner in a Sienna garden. There is something about the shape of this tree that I find very appealing.
